Kevin Thompson and Jacky Lichtenthaler have been working together since the bakery opened in 2004 in Everett, Washington. Armed with over 30 years of French Pastry expertise, Kevin took the helm when Jacky retired in 2022. We are now L’Artisan Pastry.
Born and raised in Long Island, New York, Kevin always had a passion for food and crafting with his hands. As an Apprentice for French Pastry shops in New York, he created beautiful cakes and pastries which were sought after for special celebrations.
In the early 1990’s, Kevin moved to Seattle to be the Restaurant Pastry Chef for the Westin Hotel. While at the Westin, Kevin did the desserts for one of the James Beard Foundation dinners. He was also the original Pastry Chef at Le Fournil French Bakery.
Kevin and his team will continue to offer French pastries following traditional and classic techniques prepared in harmony with the bounty of the season while staying up to date with contemporary baking trends and innovations.
Kevin loves the outdoors, has an extensive collection of cookbooks, and can chat about food forever.
